Common Core State Standards have established three types of writing to be covered in each grade: argument, informative/explanatory, and narrative. These standards are not just for English/Language Arts classes. Click through the literacy standards in writing for History, Science, and Technical Subjects grades 6-8, 9-10, and 11-12.
The 2012-2013 and 2013-2014 Literacy Leadership Team at Asheboro High School has worked to put together this writing instruction depot for teachers. It is definitely a work in progress, so if you have a suggestion or a need, please submit your idea below.
